Barbells are another staple of body jewelry. The ends screw on just as they do for a circular barbell and are available in a variety of shapes and colors. Important for sizing is the distance from one end of the barbell to the other, in a straight line even for the curved barbells. Some extra “play” room for swelling and ease of insertion is recommended.
Barbells come in a variety of materials and can be worn in almost all piercings, although for some piercings it is more practical to wear a curved barbell rather than a straight one.
